Level 5 Award Management and Leadership CMI

This level 5 management and leadership course is suitable for middle and operational managers who have responsibilities for others, possibly having other team leaders or first-line managers reporting to them.
It is part of a suite of management qualifications offered at this level which include Award, Certificate, and Diploma.
The Award develops your knowledge of middle management by focusing on a specific area applicable to your development needs or job demands. You will study one unit only. You can choose any unit.
Newly appointed or aspiring managers should select Unit 501: Principles of Management and Leadership in an Organisational context.
The unit chosen must total 40 TUT as a minimum.
How it works
Your Level 5 Management and Leadership course will last for a maximum of three months although you can complete much sooner if you wish. Average completion is two months.
Our courses are delivered through highly supportive distance learning using a combination of personal tutor support and access to i-cademy our on-line learning portal.
You will have 24/7 access to the on-line i-cademy portal where you will be able to access all your study resources. On the portal you will find your course text for each unit which can be read on-line or downloaded and printed. Our portal also contains additional research resources to help you maximise your study time and assignment guides to help you with assignments.
You will be allocated a tutor who will be your personal guide, mentor and coach. They will be an expert in their field and distance learning. You can be confident that their support and help will give you every opportunity to be successful. You can contact them as often as you need. You will also benefit from student membership of the CMI which will enable you to access the CMI online resource system Management Direct.
Once you have enrolled you will be emailed your joining instructions which will enable to to immediately access our learning portal and all of your learning materials. We will then allocate your tutor to you and register you with the Institute.
You will need a PC, Laptop, Notebook or tablet with sound, internet access, and meet minimum browser requirements of: Firefox 4+, Internet Explorer 8, Safari 5, Google Chrome 11, or Opera 9. You will need to disable pop-up blockers and enable cookies for the learning portal.
In order to achieve this management qualification you must successfully complete a graduate level written work-based assignment of about 3000 words for each unit studied. You have two attempts at each assignment and tutors provide full feedback to support you if you need to make a second submission.
To achieve this qualification you must study one unit to a minimum TUT value of 40.
