The Level 5 Diploma in Professional Consulting is for internal and external consultants alike. It is suitable for new practitioners, professional development for existing consultants and those thinking of joining the profession. Achieving the diploma entitles you to full membership of the Institute of Consulting and eligibility to apply for Certified Consultant Status.. It is part of a suite of management qualifications offered at this level which include Award, Certificate, and Diploma.
The consulting qualifications are also suitable if you are newly appointed or are thinking of a change of career or simply wish to develop an insight into the skills and knowledge needed in the field of consulting. These qualifications are not designed for full-time students or new entrants to the workforce, previous work experience is required.
To achieve the Diploma there are six units to be studied. Some are mandatory others are optional.

Your Level 5 Diploma in Professional Consulting course will last for twelve months although you can complete sooner if you wish. Most people complete within nine months.
During this time you will be allocated a tutor who will be your personal guide, mentor and coach. They will be an expert in their field and distance learning. You can be confident that their support and help will give you every opportunity to be successful.you can contact them as often as you need.
Your personal tutor will also assess the work you have to submit for your qualification. They will provide you with full written feedback.
You will also have 24/7 access to our on-line portal where you will be able to access all your study resources. On the portal you will find your course text for each unit which can be read on-line or downloaded and printed.
Our portal also contains additional research resources to help you maximise your study time and assignment guides to help you with assignments.
You will also benefit from student membership of the Institute of Consulting.
Once you have enrolled you will be emailed your joining instructions which will enable to to immediately access our learning portal and all of your learning materials. we will then allocate a tutor to you and register you with the Institute.
Assessment
ASSESSMENT
The Level 5 Diploma in Professional Consulting consists of six units of learning.
In order to achieve this consulting qualification you must successfully complete a written work-based assignment of around 2,000-2,500 words for each unit studied.
The standard of work is graduate.

Content includes: : understanding tools of analysis used for effective problem diagnosis, situation analysis, problem solving and decision making and how to use them in a structured way
5029 Introduction to consulting essentials Credit Value 8
Content includes: understanding the consulting industry, how to use the consultancy cycle and techniques for creating impact and credibility with clients
5033 Communication for consultants Credit Value 7
Content includes: enhancing interpersonal skills, client communications, presentations, report writing, and developing effective proposals
5031 The roles and responsibilities of a consultant Credit Value 6
Content includes: understanding the role of a consultant, career opportunities within consulting, in-depth personal consulting skills review and action plan
5009 Project development and control Credit Value 6
Content includes: understanding the project life cycle, writing business proposals, effective use of project management techniques, stakeholder analysis, and risk management

Content includes: change management models, understanding the impact of change, plan, manage and gain support for change.
